Following our recent invitation to join the FA National Futsal League and move to our new home; The Beacon of Light, we are delighted to announce that from the 2018 – 2019 season we will officially be known as Sunderland Futsal Club.

This change has hereby been made for several reasons; firstly to continue to adhere to affiliation criteria whereby we must have the name of the area we play included in the name and adhere to the FA National Futsal Super League, a competition whose entry we have been working towards for the past months.

From a club point of view we also hope it will allow us to fully connect with the whole community in Sunderland as a city and ensure we are identifiable for future players, volunteers and supporters who may wish to join our Futsal family.

There are no changes to the club itself, it’s personnel, our logo, and our structure. We will continue to use the ‘Pumas’ name as our brand which is very dear to all of our hearts but to confirm our FA National Futsal League entry, we have officially now become Sunderland Futsal Club.

This is an exciting time for our club as we prepare for the step up to play at national level and our ambition is to one day compete in the FA National Futsal Super League, which is something we will work tirelessly towards over the next few years.

We hope all of our members of our club and their families will join us in celebrating this huge step forward as a club at our upcoming presentation evening on Friday 27th of July.

Thank you for your committed support.
